Jon Wolstencroft is a professional musician with a distinctive and crystalline voice. Music has long been his passion, having been a performer for over 10 years, and having studied composition and production and gained BA (Hons) Creative Music Technology and MA Audio Production degrees along the way.
With his own music, he has received radio play on BBC Radio 6Music and XFM, represented the UK at EuroMusic Contest in Paris, and had his songs used by both Mercedes-Benz and Richer Sounds for promotional purposes. He produces all of his music himself.
Songwriting has always been the aspect of music which Jon finds most fulfilling. The idea for ‘tailor-made songs’ came after he was asked by a close friend to record and perform a song for his partner’s birthday party. Not only was Jon excited to utilise his songwriting skills in a new way, he also felt extremely honoured to be given the responsibility of creating something very personal and meaningful to his friends. The resulting song was loved by all who attended the party and will be treasured forever by the person for whom it was written for. Spurred on by the positive responses of his friends and the enjoyment he experienced whilst writing the song, he decided writing unique bespoke songs for people was something he would like to more of and so founded ‘tailor-made songs’: a service which expertly transcribes into music the most personal of thoughts and feelings which cannot fully be conveyed purely using words alone.
“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.” – Victor Hugo (author of Les Miserables)
Alongside ‘tailor-made songs’, Jon performs across the UK as a solo wedding and events singer/guitarist. He has built up an impressively eclectic repertoire of cover songs which allows him to cater his performances perfectly to suit the needs of each individual event.
